Mango Burgers

Ingredients

1 cup    - Ripe mango, chopped (look for black spots on mango skin and strong mango aroma)
1/2 cup  - Onion, finely chopped
2 Tbs    - Teriyaki sauce
1/2 tsp  - Black pepper
1 lb     - Ground beef
 
Directions

  • Chop ripe mango into peanut-sized pieces.

  • Chop sweet / Vidalia onion into pieces smaller than the chopped mango.
    Pre-heat/cook onion in the microwave for 30-60 seconds.

  • Add teriyaki sauce to heated, chopped onions.

  • Add teriyaki, onions, mango, and pepper to ground beef.

  • For best results, let sit overnight to allow meat to absorb juices and flavors.
    This also makes it easier to form patties.
